3D printing has recently become very popular worldwide. Many industries are now taking advantage of the opportunities offered by this innovation. Several 3D printer and accessory manufacturers have entered the market. One of the prominent Polish companies in the field of 3D printing is Zortrax. Their award-winning products have been replaced in our webshop. Zortrax products are mostly found among advanced users. They are leaders in 3D printing production. Their top quality is reflected for example in the award-winning Zortrax M200 printer. In addition, the accessories for these printers are also outstanding on the market. In addition to all this, they also produce their own branded 3D printer resin
Resin or plastic resin is a more specialised resin than normal resin. It is commonly considered to be a very weak material. In particular, it has a weak tensile strength. In contrast to resin or synthetic resin, which hardens under UV light into a liquid plastic gel. This technology is used in stereolithography 3D printers. Several industries also use the products, such as dentistry or cosmetics. The resin is specifically light-sensitive. The special resin can be cured by light or laser. It is available in several colours in our webshop. Zortrax Resin products comply with EU standards and meet IARC criteria. It may be worth paying attention to the storage of the resin. It is recommended that it is stored at room temperature where it is not exposed to UV light or other light.
Several articles have been published on the choice of resin or filament as a base material. In short, the answer is that it depends on the end product you want to produce from the material. If you want to print a strong, robust model that is resistant to mechanical properties, you should choose filament for the print, and one of these filaments is recommended, PLA, ABS and PETG, as these three materials are the most popular and have the most colours. However, if you are using them for detail or aesthetic purposes, resin or resin is recommended.
