Herz PETG filament
Filament or plastic filament is used as a raw material in 3D printing. The filament can have different textures and colours. Today they are available in an amazing variety of colours and shades. Filaments are sold in rolls. Some material types and colours are available in 3kg packs, but the most common is the 1kg roll size. The plastic filament is melted by the 3D printer at a high temperature and the nozzle is used to continuously layer the melted filament onto the printer table. This is how the model you want to print is formed and shaped. The filaments are available in two sizes in diameter, 1.75mm and 2.85mm.
PETG (polyethylene terephthalate glycol) is the third most popular material for 3D printing. PETG is also a thermoplastic material, well suited for the production of functional objects. PETG is more flexible than PLA and has a much better brittleness, making it particularly difficult to break. In 3D printing, even low-temperature printer asbestos can be suitable for printing, compared to ABS. PETG is completely odourless, abrasion resistant and has excellent impact resistance. It is also a food-safe material and is therefore well suited for use in the food industry. It does not cause any problems when in contact with food. It should be kept away from UV light, as it is sensitive to it, which can cause a loss of material quality and can make it brittle. Last but not least, PETG is a water clear material, so it can be produced in spectacular translucent colours, which can be found in our webshop.
The filament in our webshop is made by the European manufacturer Herz-FILAMENT Hungary. Our high quality filaments are also suitable for industrial applications. During the production of filament, they take care to work only with pure materials. They are produced under quality control. After purchasing the filament, keep it in a cool, dry, dark place as recommended by the manufacturer. Once opened, it is recommended that you use the product within 12 months, as after this time the plastic material may lose its elasticity and other properties.
