Herz PA12 filament
Filament or plastic filament, also called printer filament, is used as a raw material in 3D printing. Filament can have different textures and colours. Today they are available in an amazing variety of colours and shades. There are also clear materials that allow manufacturers to produce transparent filaments. Thinking further, there are now both coloured and translucent filaments on the market, in several materials. The filaments are sold in rolls. Some types of materials and colours are available in 3 kilogram packs, but the most common size found on store shelves is the 1 kilogram roll. The plastic filament is melted by the 3D printer at high temperatures and the nozzle is used to continuously layer the melted filament onto the printer table. This is how the model you want to print is formed and shaped. The filaments are available in two sizes in diameter, 1.75mm and 2.85mm. If you are not sure, please refer to the description of your 3D printer to find out which filament size you can use your printer with.
We sell two types of PA12 filament in our webshop. These are the PA12H and PA12W filament types. The material is characterized by high strength and hardness. In addition to all these, its main characteristic is its resistance, which ensures a long life for objects made of this material. In addition to these characteristics, it is perfectly suited for the production of parts subject to mechanical stress, such as gears or screws. PA12H denotes a harder type of the PA12 family, while PA12W is a more flexible, softer material.
The filaments in our webshop are made by the European manufacturer Herz-FILAMENT Hungary. High quality filaments are also suitable for industrial applications. In the production of filament, care is taken to work only with pure materials. They are produced under quality control. After purchasing the filament, keep it in a cool, dry, dark place as recommended by the manufacturer. Once opened, it is recommended that you use the product within 12 months, as after this time the plastic material may lose its elasticity and other properties
